The 3rd Congress of the Union of Balkan Egyptians

Honorable members of the Balkan-Egyptian community!

The blogspot was created, for information and debates in connection with the 3rd Congress of the Union Balkan-Egyptian (UBE), which will take place on 28-29 March 2015.

As each Congress of UBE, this one will have its challenges, which we have to face and respond to the needs of our community throughout the Balkan and in the Diaspora.

After several consultation that we had with organizations and activists from all countries and Diaspora where members of our community reside, we formed Organizational Council for organizing the 3rd Congress of the UBE.

The members of the council are:

     1.      Prof. Rubin Zemon Ph.D., Secretary-General of UBEs;

2. Veton Berisha, a Member of the Parliament of Kosovo, Peja, Kosovo;
3. Prof. Behar Sadiku, President of the Association "Nefereta" of the Balkan Egyptians in Albania, Tirana;
4. Gjafer Brahim, President of the Association of Egyptians in Montenegro, Tivat, Montenegro;
5. Sejdo Komina-Buco, President of the Association of the Egyptians "Faraoni" in Belgrade, Serbia;
6. Ekrem Abazi, Vice-President of the Association Egyptians "Kleopatra", Konstanz, Germany;
7. Samir Keljmendi, member of the National Council for national minority in Serbia;
8. Fazli Stolaj, a member of the IRDK, Istok, Kosovo;
9. Prof. Elvane Qori, a member of the Presidency of UBE, Gjakova, Kosovo;
10. Vahid Mehmed, a member of the Presidency of UBE, Ohrid Macedonia;
11. Nezir Qelo, Activist of Egyptian movmenet in Diaspora, Switzerland;
12. Kledia Boce, a member of the Party for Europeanization and Integration in Albania, Tirana;
13. Jahir Zymeraj, Secretary of the Association of Egyptian "Cleopatra", Konstanz, Germany;
14. Dzavit Berisha, Activist for the Protection of Human Rights, Budapest, Hungary;
15. Naxhi Neziri, vice-president of the Egyptian Association, "Ptah", Struga, Macedonia.
16. Etleva Tare, Organizing Manager of the Associations “Qendistaret”, Korce, Albania

The first meeting of the Organizational Council for the 3rd Congress of the UBE, will take place on 24 December 2014. At this meeting the Council will set the timetable for activities that will need to be implemented for the preparation of the Congress, the principles for the selection of delegates to the Congress, and topics that will be discussed in the Congress, as well the approval process of resolutions and other documents of the Congress.

Citizens and community members of the Balkan Egyptians may initiate issue to be debated publicly or in the 3rd Congress of the UBE.
